I saw a guy named John Caber in the agent academy community server with a solid gold SaA
No this isn’t an April fools joke. He was wearing the squire clothing (I think?) and the vae victus in its clean masked variant

Can't wait to see r/TC2 on here

I stopped using Reddit a while ago, in large part because of the toxicity just below the surface of the platform. Sure, while many of the subreddits featured in the article are closed-off echo chambers that don't reach far beyond their scope, there are still people joining them and fitting in. Many people on Reddit, I find, have quite the ability to be nasty. What makes a person act nastily varies, with some peoples' triggers being more reasonable, but I think acting out in such a way is unbecoming and unconscionable to begin with. Perhaps this is just because of how I interact with the internet-- I'm not sure if I convey this well, but I don't get angry online. Online, you very rarely require anything from the other person. In other words, people are there to have fun. I use this viewpoint to measure my responses in a way that lets me express myself, while trying to avoid frustrating others. Others, which I found to be on Reddit, use this to state their opinions as willfully as possible, responding to disagreements as provocatively as possible. Of course, this is not common in every subreddit, and I tended to spend my time in ones where it was not, but the ideology itself is common enough on Reddit that it still occurs infrequently no matter where you might be.
Taking that into account, it's interesting to see how I migrated to this wiki's discussions. If I had to describe why I so much prefer this, it's the accountability. To be willful here is, in some ways, a death sentence. The example that comes to mind is a user known as HankSandy in his most provocative days. An inability to accept others opinions would be an aggressive post on Reddit, while here? It's on your permanent record. Here, it's sink or swim, adapt or die, kill or be killed. Perhaps that just means we become an echo chamber of sorts, but I like to imagine that we hold differing opinions, and what holds us together is our ability to accept that fact. And our familiarity with TC2, of course. I don't think it hurts that we have a project, the wiki, right behind us as well, though it might be hard to pinpoint exactly what that helps us with.
Regardless, I've enjoyed my time on the wiki. Here's to another three and a half years.

Once upon a time I made an Annihilator tierlist, and I put two items in S tier: the Stickybomb Launcher and the Broken Sword. The Stickybomb Launcher I feel is self-explanatory, even if its usage doesn't reflect its power, but the Broken Sword is a bit of a deep cut (no pun intended) as to why.
The funny thing about the Broken Sword is that it doesn't have any special stats, unlike the Crowbar or Saw. It just really lends itself to stickybomb Annihilator. The tierlist as a whole concerned itself with stickybomb Annihilator, and that's probably a part of why I put it so high.
Anyways, to actually get into why it's good, in order of importance:
It has no deploy speed penalty
No self-damage
Solid damage
Generally offers stuff that other weapons do not
The biggest reason I think so highly of the Broken Sword is the deploy speed. It is the only Annihilator melee to not have a deploy speed penalty (All swords inherently have one, and the Shock and Awe has a hidden one). Because of that, it's pretty fast. If your clips are empty (which happens really often), it's a viable option to try and finish your enemy off.
Even if you have a few shots in your clips, it could still be worth using simply because of the self damage from his primaries and secondaries. Unlike his other slots (and the Shock and Awe), he doesn't take self-damage from using it. And considering how more health generally leads to living longer which leads to better positioning which leads to good performances, that's nothing to scoff at.
Despite the fact it doesn't have any stats, like the Fists or Fire Extinguisher, just being a stock melee is good enough. 65 damage isn't the greatest threshold, but considering stickies average 40-60 damage, and pipes do a flat 100, it can pick up the slack and finish the job, with a little help. Not to mention all the times when a person will choke and let you get multiple hits in.
What it offers Annihilator is so simple and so unoptimized in its goal, being a fast safe option, but the role offered is so valuable that it manages to be good despite it. If the devs ever made a sword with a deploy speed bonus, as opposed to penalty, the Broken Sword would be immediately outclassed. But that doesn't exist, and because of that the Broken Sword remains by far his best option when using stickies.
Maybe what it all comes down to isn't the fact that the Broken Sword is good or whatever, it's just that all his other options are bad. The swords' deploy speed penalty just makes them too slow to use and most of them have a stat that is an active detriment when not used. The Shock and Awe is useless since the devs want to make it super punishing but also not kill a light class. The only other option I could see being viable would be the Flagxe, but even then, most players don't care about the objective.
But either way, Broken Sword comes out on top of the mess that is Stickybomb Annihilator melees.
Two years ago they removed shock and awe jumping. Ever since then it has been relegated to a Ragin' Bull gimmick. RIP to a real one.
In the gif I'm toggling between light mode's background and a white background with the same opacity as light mode's background.

Stats.
Pros:
Mini crit targets if the enemy got hit by an explosive.
Faster deploy/holster speed.
More damage when mini crit.
Cons:
If you miss a swing, you will lose 25/50 health by the explosion,
Damage penalty (probably 35% or 50%),
5% damage vulnerability while active.
The idea of this rework is to make the shock and awe an combo weapon for the hybridknights.
If you dont like the rework of the weapon, leave your opinion and change the stats if you want.
Get ready to view the raw hatred and vitriol that Big Admin didn't want you to see.
(Technical explaination: you can still find old comments on the wiki, they're just kept under technical names, and nobody ever looks at all pages in the talk namespace, so most don't know about it. Anyways, looked through all the caber comments and this is what I came up with)

When uploading item files, or moving item files, please put the file at <item> <update>, and then redirect the page's name to the most recent rendition. For example, Shock and Awe.png is a redirect to Shock and Awe VV.png, since the most recent model is from the Various Visuals update. List of file shorthand can be found below, which I made up since I'm the only one trying to do this type of stuff.
