Tips[]

  • The Syringe Crossbow isn't really designed for combat, but to quickly fire at teammates to keep them in the fight longer.
  • Don't be fooled by the reload animation. As soon as Doctor puts another syringe in the weapon, you can shoot again. You don't have to wait for the whole animation!
  • By shooting their patient with a syringe and then healing with their Medigun while their Syringe Crossbow passively reloads, it's possible for a Doctor to significantly increase their healing output.
    • By hitting his patients with a syringe before he heals them with his Medigun, Doctors can maximize overheal and check for Agents simultaneously.
  • In an intense fight, it's better to heal teammates with the Syringe Crossbow. Because of its sudden burst in health, it's similar to a small or medium health pack. Your Medigun will only build up health, which will be less effective if your teammates are fighting against someone who depletes their health just as fast.
  • The Syringe Crossbow can be used to take out weakened enemies from afar, as Doctor can see his enemies' health, and the syringe projectile is fairly quick and easy to hit.
  • This weapon does not suffer from damage falloff, meaning you can secure kills on low health enemies from long range with proper prediction.
