Tips[]

- The Syringe Crossbow isn't really designed for combat, but to quickly fire at teammates to keep them in the fight longer.
- Don't be fooled by the reload animation. As soon as Doctor puts another syringe in the weapon, you can shoot again. You don't have to wait for the whole animation!
- By shooting their patient with a syringe and then healing with their Medigun while their Syringe Crossbow passively reloads, it's possible for a Doctor to significantly increase their healing output.
- In an intense fight, it's better to heal teammates with the Syringe Crossbow. Because of its sudden burst in health, it's similar to a small or medium health pack. Your Medigun will only build up health, which will be less effective if your teammates are fighting against someone who depletes their health just as fast.
- The Syringe Crossbow can be used to take out weakened enemies from afar, as Doctor can see his enemies' health, and the syringe projectile is fairly quick and easy to hit.
- This weapon does not suffer from damage falloff, meaning you can secure kills on low health enemies from long range with proper prediction.

Trivia[]
- The Apollo previously had a placeholder model that was an all-black recolor of the Syringe Crossbow due to not being finished in time for its release.
- The Apollo originally wasn't shown in the Battle Pass when A "Heavy" Update released, instead having the icon of the Airborne Annihilator as a placeholder. This was later changed to an unknown amount of funds before it was finally modified to the Apollo.
- The name "Apollo" is derived from the HMS Apollo, a British frigate used in the 1970's and 1980's.
