The Black Death is a melee weapon for the Annihilator. It is an all-black sword with a pointed pommel and rain guard.
It decreases the user's max health by 25 and decreases their movement speed by 10%. Like the other swords, it's melee range is increased by 50% and it's deploy and holster speed decreased by 50%.
With every kill, the user gains an extra maximum of +15 health and +8% speed that caps at 3 souls. The maximum health possible is 195-220 HP and +24% speed will add up to a maximum of 105-116% speed, which is slower than the Flanker, but faster than the Agent and Doctor.
It also has a unlisted stat that allows the player to steal Souls from opposing Annihilators using The Black Death, Heads from Marksmen using the Skullbuster and Guts from Mechanics using the Gutbuster by killing them.

Tips
- It works best with hit and run tactics, and picking off enemy players to rack up souls with low risk.
- Even once you collect 3 souls, you shouldn't run into the enemy team, unless you have a Doctor healing you.
- Focus your first few kills on lighter classes before going against heavier classes.
- You are much better at tracking down and finding Agents before they can do any damage to your team, than your team, in many ways. Being able to run faster than Agent once you have souls, and your melee's increased range helps in tracking down cloaked Agents, plus their Knife deals less base damage than any of your melee weapons.
- This weapon is best used with a shield, allowing you to charge, thus dealing more damage if you can shield bash enemies and follow up with two quick melee swings.
- While this weapon can be used in a standard Annihilator loadout, it's not recommended due to requiring 2 kills with the Black Death in order to get any benefits, which can be very difficult when you don't have a shield or Squire Boots.
