The Boonie Blaster is a secondary weapon for the Trooper. It is a semi-automatic M14 battle rifle.
It replaces the close-range reliability of shotguns with more reliable mid-range damage. It fires similarly to Agent's revolvers, having to shoot a single bullet per shot and becoming more inaccurate with each successive shot.
It fires much slower when compared to most of Trooper's other secondaries, but makes up for it by allowing you to soften up your enemies at mid to long-range before getting into proper combat with your Rocket Launcher, or as a fallback when you run out of ammo.

Tips[]
- This weapon encourages the user to remain in medium range to deal a comfortable amount of damage, as it becomes more difficult to land shots outside of mid-range confrontations.
- This weapon is a pretty fair weapon to use if wearing the Friendly Fire Foiler. This will let you imitate a Marksman, but at close-range.
- You'll also be able to reload fast, with your reloading speed only being a mere 1.5 seconds. This will help with ugly close-range fights with enemy Flankers, for example.
- A good melee to use with the Boonie Blaster is the Tunnel Rat.
- Hitting enemies once to give them a bleed debuff and then firing the Boonie Blaster will help you defeat them quicker.
- If you have a primary that cannot effectively deal with buildings, such as the Cow Mangler 5000 or Rocket Jumper, you can use this weapon to take them out comfortably from long range.
- If all of your shots do approximately 40 damage, you can destroy any building in one or two ammo clips!
