[ You did a.. you did a real hack job, didn't ya?
―Mechanic, mocking your building skills.
]

Buildings are machines that the Mechanic can construct with his Construction PDA. They cost a certain amount of Metal to place and provide a certain utility when placed. By default, Buildings spawn at 1 HP and in an inactive state, slowly building itself until it reaches it's max HP (150 by default) and becomes operational. They can be upgraded, repaired, and refilled by using any of Mechanic's melee weapons and hitting them, at the cost of some Metal.

Using the Construction PDA, the Mechanic can choose between the 4 default buildings. When they select a building, they enter a Deploy mode where a blueprint of the Building you are trying to construct appears infront of you. The user will left-click when they have found a location they want to build in and can use right-click to rotate the building. The creator of a given Building can also pick it up by right-clicking on the Building while close to it.

Like players, the buildings have health and are destroyed once it reaches 0. Buildings drop a small ammo pickup when destroyed by any means as well as the Mechanic shouting a unique voiceline for each building destroyed. However, the builder can repair the buildings by using their melee weapon if they're particularly damaged. The builder can also upgrade buildings to improve the health and their capabilities. Mechanics can also help repair and upgrade other Mechanics' buildings.

Agent's Sappers drain the health of any Building they are applied to and disable them, alerting the Building's owner. They can be destroyed by using the Mechanic's melee weapon or the Arsonist's Homewrecker. A Mechanic can also destroy a Building instantly of his own volition by using the Demolish PDA.

During the set-up time on Payload or Attack/Defense gamemodes, a Mechanic's buildings are automatically upgraded to level 3.

All Buildings will take the base damage of a given weapon; they are not subject to ramp-up or fall-off from enemy fire. This

Sentry Gun[]

The first option of the construction tool is the sentry gun which costs 130 metal. The building functions like a machine gun as it can detect nearby enemies and start firing at them. They can be upgraded each 200 metal and have a maximum level of 3, which can shoot out rockets and fires much more faster than a level 1 sentry you begin with. At level 3, the sentry gun also shoots rockets.

Mini-Sentry[]

If the player has the Gunslinger equipped, their normal sentry will be replaced with mini-sentry that costs 100 metal. Upgrades are not required for this building at all and fires the same rate as level 2 and 3 sentries.

Dispenser[]

Second option of the construction tool is the dispenser which cost 100 metal. It regenerates health and ammo of damaged players. It also regenerates metal whenever the Mechanic uses the metal on constructing buildings or in combat by equipping the Widowmaker or the Short Circuit.

Teleporters[]

There are two seperate Teleporter buildings; first one being the entrance teleporter and the second one being the exit, they cost 50 metal. When both are active, standing on the Teleporter Entrance will immediately teleport the user to the Teleporter Exit. When one end of the Teleporter is sapped, the other one is immediately sapped as well; removing the sapper from one also removes it from the other.

If the player has the Eureka Effect equipped, the metal cost is reduced to 25 per Teleporter.
