―Flanker on critical hits.
]

Critical hits (also known as Crits or Full Crits) is when an attack does 3x damage, or 200% more damage. Critical hits will not suffer from damage falloff, but explosive falloff still applies unless it is a direct hit. Critical hits will only multiply the base damage by 3, so rampup is ignored, meaning any critical attack will deal the same damage from any distance, assuming the attack hit an enemy.

Critical hits do not randomly occur unless the server has "Random Crits" enabled, otherwise requiring some event to happen in order to incur critical hits.

Mini-Crits is when an attack deals 1.35x damage, or 35% more damage. Like full crits, they do not suffer from damage falloff but unlike full crits, they can take advantage of damage rampup.

When under the effect of a Crit Boost, weapons will glow a team colored glow in first person, but appear with electricity and no glow in third person. Under a Mini Crit Boost, they will glow a brighter color in first person (RED changes to yellow, while GRN changes to a lighter green), and show the same sparks as a Crit Boosted player.

Players under the effects of the Battalion's Backup, a Vaccinator's supercharge, and buildings are immune to all critical damage. Self damage is not increased by full crits or mini-crits, though the critical sound effects will still be played.

Critical hits cannot stack with mini-crits. For example, a Brute who has recently killed an enemy with the Boxing Gloves will not gain additional damage if the Brute is being supercharged by the Kritzkrieg, nor if the Brute is under the effects of the Buff Banner. If a critical hit and a mini-crit occur within the same attack, the critical hit will override the mini-crit. Items that inflict bleed or afterburn are an exception to this rule. Afterburn/bleeding can only be mini-crit boosted, while critical damage applies to the direct projectile.
