The Direct Hitscan is a primary joke weapon for the Trooper. It shares its model with the Direct Hit.
It deals 50% more damage and mini-crits enemies sent airborne via an explosion. Additionally, its projectile speed has been drastically increased to where it instantly travels to the target. As a downside, it doesn't deal any splash damage.
Though the explosion does appear, it deals no damage.
