[ More where that comes from, PUNK!
―Trooper
]

The Double Trouble is a primary weapon for the Trooper. It is a full-metallic rocket launcher connecting to the exhaust port, brown wooden handles and two tapes attaching two immense cylinders near the breech.

It fires two rockets at once, with each rocket dealing 35% less damage against players and 25% less damage when blast jumping and deviating in a two degree cone.

However, it only loads one rocket salve at a time instead of four rockets at once, pushes opponents 36% less and reloads 66% slower.

Tips[]

  • This weapon is best used when a teammate is helping you; the 35% damage penalty and reduced clip size means one-on-one fights aren't recommended.
  • This weapon can be used to discourage opponents from gathering around dispensers and teleporters, and even discourage Mechanics from turtling their sentries.
  • Since this weapon gives you less damage from blast jumps, it is also recommended to use this in conjunction with the Gunboats as an escape tool or as a better mobility option. Although its usage as such may not be as flexible and versatile as the Rocket Jumper or even the stock Rocket Launcher, it will send you significantly further than a single rocket from either aforementioned launchers, making it more usable as a burst mobility tool.
  • Pairing this weapon with the Mantreads or the Buff Banner can allow you to dish out damage faster.
    • The Buff Banner especially pairs extremely well with this weapon, allowing you to deal up to 195 damage per attack while under its effects.
    • An effective strategy is to employ two Buff Banner Troopers using the Double Trouble to chain the effects and pump out a lot of damage.
  • This weapon is largely ineffective against buildings and tankier classes such as Brutes or other Troopers due to the lack of sustained DPS, so it is recommended that you use some form of secondary weapon, such as the Shotgun or the Boonie Blaster to cover your weaknesses.

  • This weapon was previously tested in the CTE server on September 7, 2019.
