―Flanker watching someone fall to their death.

Fall damage is a type of damage that is applied when a player hits the ground while traveling faster than 20 studs per second or by falling off certain areas in a map.

The damage varies based on the victim's vertical velocity (generally the longer the player falls, more damage would occur) and their max health. A Brute and Agent using the Conniver's Kunai falling from the same distance shows the Brute is dealt more fall damage. However, maps that are ported from original Roblox-made maps, such as Crossroads or Chaos Canyon, will allow the user to never take fall damage, regardless of downward speed or distance from the ground.

The fall is accompanied by an individual class' pain sound and a distinctive bone-crunching sound effect, plus a small but noticeable sound similar to a jet engine slowing down, in Trooper's case.

Tips[]

Yes, there's tips relating to Fall Damage, but they will prove useful in-game.

  • For all classes, to avoid receiving fall damage, try landing in water. This refers to water you can swim through, not any water that's out of bounds or is shallow.
  • If your health is below 20 HP, even falling from what can be a 2 feet in the air will kill you.
  • Flanker is the only class who has a natural ability to negate fall damage: and that is his double-jump. Using the double-jump before you hit the ground will stop you mid-air, allowing you to gently land without a scratch.
    • Using the triple-jump from the Atomizer or the strong recoil of the Lupara DB will also help.
  • Troopers and Annihilators will use their explosives to travel through the air. The damage they'll get is from the explosion and the fall damage, which will be a major inconvenience. However, both classes can use the Gunboats or Mantreads to suppress or fully negate the fall damage, respectively.
  • If an Agent receives fall damage while cloaked, she can be seen for a split second.
  • Fall damage can be used as a weapon against enemies: this mechanic is called Stomping. If you land on top of their head, the fall damage you would've taken will be dealt to them. (For example: if you fall from a height that will deplete all of your health, but land on an enemy's head, they will die instead of you.)
    • The Summer FM update now gives any boots triple the damage when stomping, which means falling from any height will kill an enemy when you land on them with these footwear. These include the Super Sneakers, the Mantreads, among others.
