The Fists of Steel is a melee weapon for the Brute. It is a pair of team-colored steel gloves.
While deployed, the user will take 40% less damage from ranged weapons, allowing them to tank more hits from a large group of enemies. However, it also makes them take 200% more damage from melee weapons while active, making melee weapons a major threat. It also deploys and holsters 100% slower, forcing you to deploy your other items earlier to compensate.

Tips
- The Fists of Steel is actually a utility weapon. This means that it's a weapon that allows the other weapons in your arsenal to deal some serious damage.
- This weapon can't be used in combat because your enemy's melee weapons become thrice as powerful. It will take a maximum of two hits from any melee in the game to kill you.
- As an upside, it does have a -40% damage reduction, which makes this weapon worth to equip to stay in fights longer.
- The -40% damage reduction protects you from damage from bullets, rockets, and fire.
- The -40% damage reduction is enough for you to tank a fully charged headshot from a Marksman, dealing 270 damage as opposed to 450.
- Beware that the Fists of Steel must be held out in order to activate your damage resistance.
- It may deploy 100% slower, but that only applies to how much time it will be before you can start punching. When you equip it, the effects are instant.
