The Gladiator's Guard is a secondary shield for the Annihilator. It is a Spartan shield marked with the letter lambda (Λ), although this is rotated improperly in the weapon's icon to resemble the letter L.
It grants the user a +25% faster recharge rate compared to other shields, allowing you to charge more often and be more careless with your charge consumption. And deals 70% more damage on shield bash, which seems like a situational stat at first, but it can really help in more circumstances.
Like other shields, it removes all debuffs when activated and the charge will be interrupted if they experience enough knockback to slow them down to below 18.75 studs/second.
It rewards a more aggressive play, allowing you to deal much more damage and be much more efficient while attacking. It benefits both a pure Anniknight and a hybrid knight playstyle, letting you charge more often and deal more damage. The recharge rate is 9 seconds when used.

Note: Elegant Blade and Squire Boots refill 25% of the charge meter upon a melee kill and Spartan Savior refills with ammo pickups or 20% of the charge meter upon a melee kill.
Tips[]
- Most other shields recharge their charge in 12 seconds whereas this shield recharges itself in 9. Use this to your advantage by using it in rollouts and getting in better positions as your charges are now more disposable.
- When charging, it's especially important that you run into enemies with this particular shield. 85 damage on hit is a lot.
- With the Elegant Blade, you can maximize the amount of time you're charging, from the increased charge recharge rate, and the extra second of charge time on the blade.
- Remember that the Gladiator's Guard is more of an offensive shield than defensive. It deals more damage from bashing, but it has no damage resistances at all.
- Beware that Annihilator always screams loudly when charging forward. This is a sound that enemies can listen for and will give away your position if they haven't seen you yet.

- They're also the only shields that got their resistances removed.
