The Collector's quality signifies that an item is rare and valuable, as the item in question has been crafted from Strange-quality duplicates. Due to the low drop rates of existing Strange weapons and cosmetics, and the surplus of items in the item drop system, it may take a significant amount of time for a single Collector's item to be crafted.

Right clicking any Strange-quality weapon or cosmetic in the player's inventory will present the player with the option to combine five duplicates of the same Strange-quality gear into a single Collector's quality weapon or cosmetic. The resulting creation will be in both Strange and Collector's quality simultaneously.

Getting a killstreak with a Collector's weapon will apply an effect on the player's eyes at 5, 10, and 15 kills, respectively, with the intensity of the effects increasing with each incremental killstreak. The effect will only appear if the player has the Collector's weapon deployed.

A maximum of five Strange Parts can be applied to Collector's items but will not count towards rank progress.

There is an option present to sell Collector's quality items for 155-160 Funds each.

Collectors items are identified by a red name tag in the player's inventory, as the hexadecimal color code for Collector's items is #AA0000.

Trivia

• Much like the Haunted quality, the Collector's quality has existed in the game for a very long time, but has never been officially implemented until the Summer 2022 Update.
• The Collector's quality was initially going to only be obtainable via Collector's Kits, though they have been scrapped and thus cannot be obtained through legitimate means. They are, however, still functional in the current state of the game.
• Prior to the quality's official implementation, very few Collector's items have existed, making it the rarest quality for non-developers at the time.
  • A Collector's quality version of the Frying Pan was given to the user atk_dg, after asking for the Frying Pan to be added into the game for an entire year straight. The 365th day is pinned in the official Typical Colors 2 Discord's general chat.
  • A Collector's quality version of the Market Gardener and Purple's Top Hat are owned by daviddkingstarman, given to him as a result of looking like SoundSmith in a Discord call.
• Ascorbine made the unique effects for getting killstreaks with a Collector's weapon.
• The Collector's quality does not natively have kill counting, instead when crafting a Collector's it keeps the Strange quality.
• Crafting a Genuine or Vintage weapon into a Collector's will remove said qualities from the item.
