Lift Auth is a map made for the Attack/Defense gamemode. The map takes place in an open-air canyon where there are containers being moved and stored about, large industrial buildings, houses, and a big underground facility containing a large missile silo.
GRN's first spawn and the first point take place in an open air area, allowing more freedom of movement. GRN's second spawn, and RED's spawn/the second point are in enclosed buildings, leading to a more tight battlefield. The presence of side areas allows for Mechanics to hide Teleporters, Sentry Guns, and even Dispensers where attacking enemies would be less expecting them.
The map also features several important chokepoints, allowing Annihilators and Troopers to thrive, and making coordinated pushes sometimes rather difficult.

- The original name for this map was "ad_auth", however it was changed to "ad_liftauth" just before release.
- Lift Auth is a play on the word "liftoff."
- In the shack near GRN's first spawnroom, a hole cutout can be found resembling Mario from Super Mario Bros.
