Mann vs. Machine (abbreviated as MvM, MVM, or Mvm) was a temporary gamemode that was available during the OverColors 3 update.

Unlike most gamemodes in the Server Browser, this gamemode gave a introduction board where players queue for a round; if a queue fails for 30 seconds, it will reset.

The board displays an image of a Sentry Buster from Team Fortress 2 and that a maximum of 6 players can join the same session. A warning is shown to alert players with photosensitive epilepsy as the skybox during the boss fight can trigger seizures.

Beating Mann vs. Machine will reward the player with 11 Funds, the Fool's Fandango cosmetic, and one Tour Token.

Gameplay

Upon joining, the players will be spawned in Telamon Castle. Pressing O will cause the player to "ready up" and their class will say their respective "Go Go Go!" voicelines.

The UI will show that the players will fight against 24 Zombies, 24 Guests, 5 Wheelies, and 1 Gigantic Zombie for 7 waves. However, this does not happen. 10 seconds after all players in the server are prepared, the screen will turn translucent black and teleport all players to the top of the map with a purple text in the chatbox displaying "Y̴̺̊o̴̙̿u̴͔̒ ̴̠̓d̴̖͐ï̷̩d̵̰͠n̸͈̄'̷̡͌t̸̛̮ ̵̼͘h̷͗ͅa̷͙͋v̴͕͝e̶͙͆ ̸͚̆t̵̝̀o̶̰͝ ̶̞̂d̶̥́ȯ̴̗ ̷͈̄t̵̥̔h̶̼̑i̶͉̓s̴̼̕ ̷̨̚a̶̺̋g̸̟̓ã̶̰i̷̺͑n̶͖̑" as the Trollge arises before printing an inverted cross in chat:

then finally saying, "I'm gonna troll you once and for all." before getting straight to the battle.

The Trollge can launch rockets that deal 84 damage in bursts of 3 and spawn lasers on the floor that deal 33 damage for players to dodge. They will become more aggressive and faster once the Trollge becomes low on health.

Defeating the Trollge will have them tile horizontally before turning all white and laugh after disappearing.

If all players are eliminated, the Trollge will jumpscare the players with the screen dimming to a black screen with a faint red static afterwards. The map will then restart to give the player's another attempt.

Trollge's Fun Facts

The Troll Face will spew fun facts and other related dialogue mid-battle.

These phrases are said while attacking, one for each attack. It will also make a ringing noise when typing out these dialogue and fun facts.

Trivia

• Selecting Brute in the Class Selection Screen would automatically kill the player and switch them to Annihilator, doing this would bypass the class limit.
• The cross the Trollge prints in chat prior to his encounter is known as the Cross of Saint Peter, and in the present it is mainly used to symbolize the Anti-Christ.
• The placeholder icon is taken from a free Roblox decal called, TF2 Mvm Sniper Menu Pic.
• Most of the used tracks are taken from certain video games.
  • The music where the Trollge rises is taken from Super Mario World, more specifically at the start of Bowser's boss fight.
  • The boss theme is taken from an unused Undertale soundtrack called, mus_f_part3.
    • The Trollge has several attacks such as rockets and lasers on the floor, which can be a reference to Undertale's combat system.
  • The defeat theme is taken from a Earthbound soundtrack called, Giygas Disintegrates.
    • The Trollge also tiles horizontally when they're defeated similar to Giygas.
  • The laugh was taken from Kefka's Laugh from Final Fantasy 6, which also made the laugh more infamous when it was used for a creepypasta called Sonic.exe.
• This gamemode was made to mock players who demanded the actual Mann vs. Machine to be added to Typical Colors 2.
  • Despite this, it has been confirmed that an actual MVM-style gamemode was considered at some point and there's a video showcasing the zombie NPCs.
• Players cannot use Teleporters or the Eureka Effect to go back to the previous map when being transported to the Trollface arena. This is because of being able to cheese the boss and get the rewards.
  • Buildings constructed by a Mechanic will not be shown or heard when destroyed during the transportation. This also means that Mechanic will not say his respective voicelines when a building is destroyed.
• A lot of the disturbing fun facts are false.
  • "It is physically impossible for pigs to look up into the sky." - False, pigs can look up.
  • "3.5 is an even number." - False, 3.5 is neither an odd nor a even number.
  • "On average, 12 newborns will be given to the wrong parents daily." - Likely false, no evidence to support such a claim.
  • "The original name for butterfly was flutterby." - Possibly false, there is no historical evidence to support it.
  • "77 + 33 = 7733." - False, the correct sum is 110. (But this one is a joke.)
  • "Only two national flags have the color purple on them." - False, four national flags have the color purple.
