The Model IV is a primary weapon for the Marksman. It is a gray, sleek, futuristic railgun with team-colored lines on the barrel and main body.
The weapon deals the same amount of damage to opponents as the Sniper Rifle. However, the weapon deals 34% more damage to buildings and pierces through enemies. This comes at the cost of a 15% slower charge rate and an inability to be fired while unscoped; attempting to do so causes a "click" sound to emanate from the gun, with no ammo cost to the player. Additionally, the weapon fires tracer rounds which produce a thin, team-colored trail as they travel, potentially revealing the user's position.
Like all sniper rifles, except the Poacher's Pride, it will deal 20% less damage if hitting a target that is less than 40 studs away from the user.
Successfully hitting a shot that penetrated two or more enemies will play a cheering sound. This sound can be heard by everyone in the server.

Tips[]
- Don't mind the "cannot fire unless zoomed" downside. The stock Sniper Rifle does minimal damage without scoping in, and so this is more of a convenient feature for the Model IV.
- The Model IV fires "tracer rounds", which means the bullets you shoot will leave behind a team-colored trail, which will allow your opponents to find you easily and kill you.
- After you get a kill, move to another spot. This will prevent your opponents from finding you easily.
- While your shots can hit multiple opponents at once if they're lined up perfectly, don't make it your goal to do so.
- You'll spend more time trying to line up shots than actually shooting, or even worse getting distracted and dying to an opponent who snuck up on you.
- Two players directly in front or behind each other is very rare. It's best to leave a penetration shot up to luck rather than to do it on purpose.
- The most likely pair of classes you'll get a double-kill on with a penetration shot is a Doctor pocketing a Brute, but you'll have to get lucky to actually land the shot.
- Keep an eye out for enemy Mechanics. The Model IV has a damage bonus against his buildings, which will make you a deadly soft counter to him.
- Believe it or not, your shots can penetrate buildings too. Mechanics will always hide behind buildings to protect themselves from enemy attacks, so you should be able to kill them easily with a well placed shot.
- Mechanics are often distracted with defending their buildings against your Agent or Annihilator, and don't often panic if they see a Marksman aiming at their buildings because they think you have the stock Sniper Rifle, which won't do much damage. Use this habit of theirs to fool them and take advantage.
- Be sure to work on your self-defense. Should an enemy locate you by looking at your tracer rounds, you'll need to be ready to fight. Use the MAC-10 or the stock Machete.
