The Night Sky Ignitor is a primary weapon for the Trooper. It is a reskin of the Direct Hit that takes on the appearance of a team-colored firecracker attached to a missile fin with a joyful face decal affixed to the barrel. The rockets fired from this rocket launcher, explode in a similar fashion to fireworks.

The Night Sky Ignitor could be unlocked by reaching tier 25 of the Versatile Vacation Pass. It could also be obtained through the Daily Shop for 400 Funds.

Tips[]

  • The aim of the game with the Direct Hit is, obviously, to land direct hits. However, you do not need to lead your shots quite as far with this weapon compared to the stock Rocket Launcher as the nearly triple rocket speed allows you to practically snipe any foe.
    • The Direct Hit can be used as a counter against enemy Marksmen.
    • It can be used against other blast jumping Troopers or Annihilators, a timed air-shot can shut them down pretty quickly.
  • It is also an excellent choice against sentry nests, due to the massive burst damage the Direct Hit offers -112 damage exactly, which is more than half of any fully-upgraded building leaving the Mechanic close to no time to repair his buildings.
  • Some targets can be really hard to hit with this weapon and if they manage to close a gap with you, it can be really hard to get out alive. It's a good idea to pack a Shotgun or a reliable melee as a backup tool when you are unable to hit your target.
  • This weapon's fast projectile speed makes it very difficult for enemy Arsonists to airblast it's rockets.

  • Added trail effect for the projectile.
  • Fixed a bug where the Night Sky Ignitor did not list the Direct Hit's damage fall-off and ramp-up stats. (Undocumented)
  • No longer obtainable from the Daily Shop. (Undocumented)

Bugs[]

  • When firing with a RED Night Sky Ignitor, the projectiles will be GRN-colored.
