The Perceptionist is a primary weapon for the Flanker. It is a full-length Hanic Model 410 lever action shotgun with majority of the model being colored black while the stock and forearm parts are colored brown.
This weapon functions like the default Lever Shotgun, however the shells only store 9 pellets instead of the regular 10, having similar damage to the regular Shotgun. Shooting enemies while aiming at their back will deal guaranteed mini-crit damage. However, the reloading speed is decreased by 20%.
This weapon encourages Flankers to use their high mobility to do their job and flank the enemy. Getting behind the enemy allows you to deal quite a lot more damage compared to the Lever Shotgun and even instant kill light classes, including Doctors as well, assuming you get close enough to them to get maximum damage ramp-up. The downsides discourage directly engaging the enemy from the front, especially when they know of your existence.

Tips[]
- Just like Agent, Flankers can actually get easier kills if they approach an enemy from behind. The Perceptionist acknowledges this strategy and rewards you for doing so.
- If you meet an enemy who doesn't show their back, you can fire at least 2 shots from the Perceptionist, then back away while firing the Pistol. This will increase your chances of survival and getting the kill.
- If you can't flank your opponents, try to use your speed and circle strafe around them to eventually reach their back.
- If you're wearing the Super Sneakers, you can hurdle over an enemy's head to find their backside.
- Carefully pace your shots. The name of the Perceptionist's game is patience. And since this gun reloads slower, you'll have to make sure each shot counts.
- Remember that you don't have to wait for the whole reloading animation to finish to start firing again. When Flanker pushes the lever at the bottom of the Perceptionist, start firing!
- After throwing the Mad Milk, you can get additional health bonuses by attacking behind the enemy without dying frequently.

Trivia[]
- This weapon is based on the Advanced Weaponiser weapon of the same name.
- The model and animations are taken from Arsenal's Henry Rifle.
- Despite this, the model is more akin to that of the Henry's successors, the Winchester rifles.
