The Pre-Rehaul (commonly referred to as the "Prehaul" by the community) is one of Typical Colors 2's oldest phases.
This phase lasted from early 2016 to mid-2017 and has three sub-phases.
Early Pre-Rehaul[]
The Early Pre-Rehaul (playable here) (Recorded footage can be found here) came out right as Typical Colors got scrapped and became a sequel.
During this time, the game reused most of the assets from Typical Colors while making some new ones. Examples include:
- Keeping Orange's original 2015 version but slightly changed.
- Rooftop and Suburb were added to the game.
- Vs. Bosses was added.
Mid Pre-Rehaul[]
This was a transitional phase between the Early Pre-Rehaul. (Recorded footage can be found here) This phase included:
- The map rotation was:
- Marksman's stock Sniper Rifle got changed from a Green AWP into a Black AWP.
- The health UI was updated from a small green bar on the bottom-left corner of the screen to a green number displaying your health.
- Class The HUD GFX was created and placed at the bottom left of the screen to show what class you were playing and what team you were on. At the time, the only classes that had these GFX were Flanker, Mechanic, Agent, and Mercenary.
- Arsonist's Fire Axe was replaced by a Fire Extinguisher as his stock melee.
Late Pre-Rehaul[]
The Late Pre-Rehaul (playable here) is the last version of Pre-Rehaul before the release of Rehaul. Examples of updates include:
- Replaced Magnum Pistol with Tec-9
- Health meter update: Rather than a green health number, a white health box similar to the new health cross was added, which slowly became greyer the more health you lost.
- The release of the Golden Frying Pan gamepass.
- Added a new shop.
- Any weapons purchased from the shop were converted into Vintages once the player that bought said weapons logged onto a post-rehaul game client.
