[ Is that a helmet or a bowl? You goddamn poser!
―Trooper, insulting his recent kill.

The Reserve Shooter is a secondary weapon for the Trooper. It is a shotgun with a lighter colored stock and fore-end, having eight-pointed stars in a circle which is present in the side of the shotgun and the front sight.

The Reserve Shooter mini-crits enemies launched by explosions, deploys 20% faster, and is 20% more accurate. This comes at the cost of dealing 15% less damage and having a 34% smaller clip size, forcing you to utilize the Reserve Shooter more conservatively.

Tips

  • In close-range encounters, you can shoot a rocket at the opponent's lower body and quickly swap to the Reserve Shooter to deal high burst damage. Do note this will only work effectively against single targets.
  • You can pair this with the Liberty Launcher or G-Bomb to take advantage of their push force bonuses.
  • Mind the damage penalty. You can still make the most of it if you get really close to enemies.
  • If an enemy Trooper or Annihilator blast jumps towards you, you can still mini-crit them. Remember that you don't have to be the reason that someone got blasted in the air!
