The Rising Sun Katana is a melee weapon for the Trooper and Annihilator. It is a reskin of the Katana with a golden blade, antique tsuba and dark brown tsuka.
Upon killing an enemy with this weapon, they will turn into a golden statue instead of leaving a ragdolled corpse, frozen in the pose they were in at the moment of death.
The Rising Sun Katana uses a separate drop system, as it has a 1 in 1800 (0.055%) chance of dropping in a player's inventory in any given round after killing an enemy, with dying having a 1 in 6300 (0.000158%) drop chance. It will always drop in Strange-quality.

Demonstration
Tips
- Only use the Katana if it's likely to secure a kill, and that the kill is quick, to avoid taking additional damage.
- This can pair well with a shield and boots, allowing the player to forego the Honorbound downside completely.
- Beware of any other Troopers or Annihilators also using the Katana. The very first hit will kill the victim instantly.
- Try sneaking up on Katana wielders instead of taking them head-on.
- Because other Katana wielders are a one-hit kill, you can use them to quickly fill up on HP and overheal.
- If there's an Anniknight with a Katana using his shield to rush you down, you should try to time the swing of your own Katana and get the kill.
