The Rocket Launcher is the stock primary weapon for the Trooper. It is a stereotypical rocket launcher with wooden grips, a large sight at the front, and a wide exhaust port. Enemies killed with this weapon will explode in gibs if the rocket deals 10 more damage than lethal.
The weapon fires rockets that travel at a moderate pace in a straight line, unaffected by gravity. On contact with another player or a surface, the rocket explodes, dealing damage within a set, 9.125 stud radius; damage dealt decrease the further away a target is from the explosion's center. Damage falloff increases the farther these rockets travel.
Because the rockets deal knockback, players can aim for an opponent's feet, causing them to take fall damage or be pushed into environmental hazards. This same knockback also allows the Trooper to rocket jump, greatly expanding his mobility.
It has 2 reskins, with one being a Halloween-themed reskin named the Big Bite, and a Classic ROBLOX-themed reskin named The Original.

Tips
- The Rocket Launcher does a ton of damage, knocks back opponents, and does not need to directly hit an enemy to deal damage. This is known as "splash damage".
- This means that this weapon can hit multiple enemies at once. Try firing rockets at groups of enemies to make the most of it.
- Remember to aim at the enemy's feet, not at their torso. This way, the rocket's splash damage will guarantee the hit, instead of the enemy simply dodging the rocket if you directly aimed at them.
- Hitting enemies directly can still be useful. Rocket explosions have a smoke effect which is hard to see through. If you hit an enemy directly, it will practically blind them for a short time, allowing you to take advantage.
- If you're in a fight against an enemy at close-range, avoid using your Rocket Launcher as much as possible, as shooting it while the enemy is very close to you will make you lose a chunk of HP.
- The biggest element of the Rocket Launcher is its ability to "rocket-jump". Remember how your rockets deal knockback? Shooting rockets at your feet will allow you to use that same knockback to fly through the air!
- To learn how to rocket-jump with Trooper, see Blast jump.
- Rocket-jumping is the main mobility skill that the Trooper is well known for, especially since his walking speed is the second slowest in the game.
- Remember that the Rocket Launcher can still do hefty damage to you while rocket-jumping. It deals 46 damage per jump, so you can only do 3 jumps before you blow yourself up with a 4th.
- If one of your rockets tosses the enemy up in the air, use your secondary (if it's not a passive weapon) to shoot them mid-air to get some extra damage in. Once they fall back down to the ground, continue blasting your rockets.
- The Reserve Shooter is the best weapon for this scenario, as its shots mini-crits any enemies that get launched in the air.

Trivia
- This weapon appears to be a slightly modified M72 LAW with RPG-7 grips and trigger.
- The 2016 model was taken from a custom Team Fortress 2 weapon called the Follower.
- While the Rocket Launcher appears to have high-recoil, real-life rocket launchers do not have this trait.
- The Rocket Launcher used to share the same sound effect as the HECU RPG from Half-Life and the Team Fortress Classic Rocket Launcher.
- The Rocket Launcher wielded by Unfortunate Son lacks the (Not Sellable or Marketable or Giftable) tag that most Normal-quality items have.
- The Rocket Launcher, alongside the Deathblow are the only weapons to have separate models for first and third person.
