The Scythe for Sore Eyes is a primary weapon for the Marksman. It is a reskin of the Sniper Rifle that appears as a makeshift rifle with a thin and long scope, and blue cloth on both the grip and barrel and a scythe blade for a stock.
The Scythe for Sore Eyes could have previously been obtained via item drops during the Typical Horrors, Typical Horrors II, Typical Horrors III, and Typical Horrors IV events.
Killing a player with this weapon will turn them into a ghost.

Tips[]
- Always aim for the head. All headshots are guaranteed critical hits, and a fully-charged headshot is the only attack other than a backstab that can kill a fully overhealed Brute (unless he's holding out his Fists of Steel or Biker's Blitz)
- The Sniper Rifle has no damage penalty, nor any "rules" to get kills as labelled by its stats, so it's arguably the most powerful or consistent primary weapon for the Marksman.
- Either a quick-scoped headshot or a fully-charged bodyshot can kill light classes with 125 HP (Flankers, Mechanics, Agents and other Marksmen) if they are not overhealed.
- Positioning is key; look for high vantage points where you can have a clear view of the battlefield or positions where you can easily cover multiple enemy routes. This maximizes your threat to your enemies while minimizing their threat to yourself.
- If your melee is the Camper's Climber, you can hit walls to climb to even higher places, so an Agent won't threaten you with a backstab.
- If you scope in too early, you'll scare off any incoming enemies from running through that area and cause them to take a flank route instead.
- Is there an enemy all up in your face? Do not use the Sniper Rifle. Use your MAC-10 or Machete to fend them off.
- Try not to shoot the Sniper Rifle without scoping in. Even if you land the shot, it does very little damage, so why would you?
- If any enemy, no matter what class, is jumping in the air, shooting them with the Sniper Rifle will give them some knockback. Similar to Arsonist's ability to airblast.
