The Somber Scrooge is a cosmetic for the Trooper that can be obtained through the Daily Shop or the discontinued Holiday 2023 Cosmetic Crate. It is a team-colored top hat with pieces of snow on crown and trim. Trooper also has a full Verdi style beard and wears an inconspicuous monocle on his left eye.
When worn, Trooper will wear a team-colored trench coat, a white suit, and black striped pants. A yellow striped scarf is also wrapped around Trooper's neck.
The Somber Scrooge was contributed to the "#tc2-workshop" channel in the official Typical Colors 2 Discord server.

- The concept name was The Disgruntled Disbeliever.
- The name and design are distinctly based off Ebenezer Scrooge, the protagonist of Charles Dickens' 1843 short novel A Christmas Carol.
