Staredawn is a map made for the 3CP gamemode.
This map takes place on a beach during a thunderstorm, dimly lit by torches and lanterns. The GRN and RED capture points are situated inside their respective warehouses, while the middle point is on a beach, marked by rock archways, surrounded by wooden structures and huge boulders.
While playing on Staredawn, loud claps of thunder will be heard once in a while. If you don't like sudden loud noises or depend on audio cues to play the game, you might want to turn down the volume a bit.
Strategy[]
- Due to the long distance from spawn to the middle point, your team will have to depend on Flankers and other high mobility classes such as Troopers and Annihilators to get a head start on securing the middle point.
- For Mechanics, the middle point has plenty of good spots to place a Sentry.
- The whole map has unlimited places to hide your Teleporters. Get creative and try putting your Teleporter Exit behind the enemy lines. This way you can sneak from behind and ambush.
- Your enemy's capture points will be the most difficult to capture. It's situated in a small warehouse, and your enemy's spawn point is only so far. Your best bet is to depend on a Doctor's SuperCharge to hold your foes off while your teammates cap the point.
- Since there's a lot of obstacles on this map, Marksmen might have trouble getting some good kills. However, you can be more aggressive and mobile if you use the Poacher's Pride or Huntsman.
- Agents have a lot of routes they can take while cloaked, especially the edges of the map or the stone tunnels leading to the middle point.
