The Sub Shotgun is a secondary weapon for the Brute. It is a white shotgun with the top half of a submarine sandwich attached to the rail where a sight would normally go.
When the weapon is active, getting a successful kill will drop a Brash Burger, but its clip size is reduced by 34% and reduces healing by 90% from all healing sources except health packs.

Tips
- The reduced clip size doesn’t matter much in 1v1s or DMs as it’s still a shotgun. Where this weapon falls is in sustainability which your primary is better at doing
- An injured enemy can easily run and hide from you as you switch weapons. Unless its an enemy Flanker or you have the Fists equipped, use it to gain a free Medium Health Kit
- The "-90% healing from healers" penalty may be an inconvenience, but it still can be worked around.
- If your Doctor is using the Rejuvenator, he'll be able to heal you as fast as a regular Medigun, due to its incredibly quick healing speed.
- Because you receive less healing, it allows the Doctor to build SuperCharge faster before you overheal, where SuperCharge builds slower.
- You can allow your Doctor to pick up the dropped burgers on the ground to heal himself, similar to when you throw your lunchbox items to teammates.
- If you can finish off an opponent in one hit, it's best to switch to this weapon if possible for the burger.
- In moments of downtime, reload the Sub Shotgun to not be caught with your pants down or miss an opportunity to get a free burger
- The Sub Shotgun pairs well with the M249 and Boxing Gloves to have an easier time getting Brash Burgers due to it not needing to rev up.
