Syringe SMG Level 62 Submachine Gun Alt-Fire: Fire a dart that can heal teammates

The Syringe SMG is a primary weapon for the Doctor. It is a tech-powered PP-91 KEDR submachine gun.

This SMG provides good accuracy and a fast firing speed but poor bullet spread and low damage output; it can be used as a mid-range self-defense tool. It also has hidden additions such as being able to heal your teammates for 4 HP on hit and falloff being increased by 40% for a maximum of 20% original damage at maximum range.

Its Alt-Fire fires a dart that can heal teammates, similar to the Syringe Crossbow. These darts have a Charge meter; the user can have 2 Charges at any time, which are refilled passively but can be sped up by dealing damage or healing with the Syringe SMG. Darts will consume 1 charge and 1 ammo when fired.

Tips

• The Syringe may only do around 2 damage per shot (depending on the situation), but it makes up for that with the incredibly big ammo clip. In fact, it's enough to fight two light classes before you have to reload. Think of it as the Marksman's MAC-10 with the potential of being the Brute's Minigun.
• Shooting a teammate while they are injured can help them escape a situation where your Medigun is too far away to attach a beam to them.
• This is a good weapon to use if you're getting sick and tired of the Syringe Crossbow's projectiles missing their targets.

Trivia

• This was the Doctor's original stock primary weapon before being replaced by the Syringe Crossbow.
• This was previously only obtainable via completing the Humble Healing achievement before it was made obtainable through the Fitten Co. Store in A "Heavy" Update.
  • Any Syringe SMGs obtained via the achievement would be Normal-quality instead of Unique.
• The old shooting sound was reused from the Syringe Gun in Team Fortress 2.
• Before it was banned in Vs. Bosses, every single hit on the boss would fill 5% of the SuperCharge meter, regardless of damage dealt.
  • This weapon is also the only Normal-quality weapon to be banned in Vs. Bosses.
• This weapon was previously known as the UZI.
  • It was renamed to the Tech Rifle when it was re-introduced in 2016, and renamed once again to the Syringe Pistol in 2017.
• The 2016 model was taken from a Team Fortress 2 weapon on the Steam workshop called Didgeri-PEW!, but without the sight and textures.
• Using the Name Tag or Description Tag on a Normal-quality Syringe SMG will not replicate its quality to Unique.
