The Thousand Degree Axe is a melee weapon for Arsonist. It is a large fire axe undergoing incandescence. It also seems to have a blowtorch attached to the handle.
The Thousand Degree Axe deals mini-crit damage on burning players and extinguishes them, does increased damage based on the remaining afterburn duration and a speed boost for 3 seconds if the killing blow is on a burning target. However, it deals 25% less base damage, holsters 35% slower, makes the user 25% more vulnerable to knockback, and if the user swings and nothing, they will take 49 damage and extinguish all enemies affected by the user's afterburn.
This weapon specializes in quick burst damage in exchange for any possible afterburn kills.

Tips[]
- Softening up large crowds with your Flamethrower or the Detonator can make it easier to net huge killstreaks, as the increased speed on kill can allow you to close the distance between you and all of your targets.
- Especially so with the Flare Gun or the Detonator, as it allows you to play as a "Puff and Sting" Arsonist, a subclass that revolves heavily around offense and high burst damage.
- You can double jump with this weapon as a side product of the 'hit yourself' stat, providing an extra bit of mobility and allowing you get to certain places that usually only a Flanker or an explosive class can go to. Mind the health lost, however.
- You can also use the "hit yourself" stat to help Doctors build SuperCharge.
- You can buddy-up with a Grill Scout Flanker or a Huntsman Marksman in Medieval, still being able to make the Axtinguisher useful.
- You can perform a pseudo-market-garden ambush attack on players by using the Detonator to jump into the air, a flamethrower to ignite and enemy, and the Axtingusher to deal massive damage.

Trivia[]
- There is evidence that the Thousand Degree Axe's name was originally going to be the Shaolin Scorcher, however, it was most likely changed because the name didn't make sense as it extinguishes. It is referred to as such inside of the game's files.[1]
- The Thousand Degree Axe's 2021 model and kill icon were re-used from a removed weapon, the 1000 Degree Axe.
- If the player set themselves on fire from any source and miss with the Thousand Degree Axe, it will play a mini-crit sound. However, it will not deal any extra damage.
