[ You think hiding all the way here can save you?
―Trooper humbling the Marksman with The Torpedo Tube.
]

The Torpedo Tube is a primary weapon for the Trooper.

The rocket's speed will gradually accelerate in speed the farther it travels, up to 80% faster, matching the Direct Hit's projectile speed. The rocket also increases in damage the farther it travels, starting at 45 damage at point-blank range and maxing out at 105 damage with 71 studs traveled, which is up to +134% more damage.

However, it deals 50% less damage against players and fires 20% slower, making it a direct downgrade to the stock Rocket Launcher if the projectile acceleration is not utilized.

This weapon is part of the Randomizer weapon pool and available to be given to custom Bosses.

Tips[]

  • It is highly suggested to use it far away from your target, because having a farther distance allows the rocket to accelerate faster and deal more damage.
  • Due to this not having a damage penalty against buildings, it will become infinitely more effective against Mechanics without need for use of the Direct Hit or G-Bomb.
  • This is a great defensive tool on the Payload gamemode, as most Payload maps have large open spaces, which allows this weapon to shine.
    • This is more effective when used with the Parabomber, due to diagonal distances inherently being farther away, and allowing you to fire more rockets with the slower fall speed.
  • Due to the slower firing speed and projectile speed increase over time, it is not intended for any effective use as a rocket jumping tool and can massively throw you off if you attempt to go for sync jumps.
  • This is one of the few weapons that is capable of dealing more damage with mini-crits than full crits.

    • The name is also inspired by an Advanced Weaponiser weapon that was nominated for Weapons of the Month on August 2013.
  • Despite its damage penalty being nerfed to -50% less damage, the stats still say it only dealt -20%.
