Fandom provides an alternative to standard source editing in Visual Editor, even if the consensus is that source editor is best.
Visual Editor[]
Visual Editor is an alternative to source editing that constantly provides a preview of what the page will look like once it's done. It generally makes it clearer what you're changing, making it better for new editors. The Visual Editor can also assist in spelling/grammar checking pages. Only pages in the (main) namespace can be edited with Visual Editor.
Source Editor[]
Most novice and advanced editors use the Source Editor, which shows the wikitext and makes it clear what page elements do and how they are set up. It generally offers more precision than the Visual Editor. The Source Editor makes it far easier to work with templates and is required to edit any page outside of the (main) namespace.
