―Unfortunate Son
]

Unfortunate Son (formerly known as Cannibalistic Trooper) is one of the five bosses in the Vs. Bosses gamemode. He is based on Painis Cupcake, one of the first and most popular Freak Fortress 2 characters.

He appears to be a purple variant of the Trooper with a dark gray vest wearing a damaged Submachine Specialist with a rocket wedged in it. His face underneath is an unsettlingly relaxed open-mouth smile, and has dark brown facial hair.

His rage plays music and notifies the server when his rage activates.

Trivia[]

  • Through all of Unfortunate Son's variation, some of his accessories were taken from the Avatar Shop:
  • The alternative face shown on Campyfire's render is taken from a decal called Creepy Bloody Face.
  • Unfortunate Son's theme is Crystal Caves: Indoors (Remastered) by Elite's Symphonies.
  • Unfortunate Son has the slowest super jump out of all the other bosses.
  • The name, Unfortunate Son is possibly a parody of the 1969 song Fortunate Son by Creedence Clearwater Revival.
  • In Pre-Rehaul, Unfortunate Son's first person viewmodel was RED Flanker's arms but transparent.
  • The rocket in the helmet is based off the Lucky Shot, from Team Fortress 2.
  • His rage used to be a lot longer, being around 18 seconds long. This was nerfed later on.
  • The face shows off an extreme reduction in agitation, which when paired with the fact that the rocket is wedged in his head, you can safely assume that this boss has been lobotomized.
    • One of the common side-effects of being lobotomized is decreased tension and/or agitation, but this is made less true due to Unfortunate Son being aggressive as a boss.
